The Institute for the Applications of Advanced Information and Communication Technologies (ITACA) is a research and development entity of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. It is located in the UPV Scientific and Innovation Park “Ciudad Politecnica de la Innovación” CPI.
The mission of ITACA is the applied research in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) field. ITACA focuses its effort to the development of technologies for public and private companies, both in the national and the international scope. By the development of those technological innovations, ITACA aims to reinforce the competitiveness and economic development of the industrial sector, which are directly reflected to the European Society.
Recognized in 2005 by the Valencian Government as University Research Institute, the highest research grade, ITACA University Institute is a center for excellence in the Information and Communication Technologies field.
ViCOROB is a research group at the University of Girona specialized in developing applications in the fields of Computer Vision and Robotics.
This is a group created in 1993, with multidisciplinary integration of research staff with academic backgrounds with complementary technical and administrative staff support and development. It currently has a staff of 70 people around the world.
The result is an intense activity in both basic research and in applied research, with contributions in the academic and projects in the field of technology transfer.
